VLP Counsel Michelle Edwards Quoted in Recorder Article “Remote Work Isn’t the Only Reason Lawyers Are Flocking to Virtual Firms”

VLP Counsel Michelle Edwards was recently interviewed for an article in the Recorder, “Remote Work Isn’t the Only Reason Lawyers Are Flocking to Virtual Firms.” Michelle joined VLP’s corporate group this year from an in-house position. She was previously a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and Covington & Burling.

Michelle says “the biggest differentiator between VLP and Big Law is not necessarily the ability to work remotely.” Rather, “one of the firm’s unique aspects, compared to brick-and-mortar law firms, is the lack of a minimum billable hours expectation that allows our attorneys to have more control over our practice.” As a working mother to young children, Michelle wanted to return to a law firm while maintaining balance and found that VLP was the right fit for her.
