VLP Partner Melissa Krasnow was the co-presenter of a webinar titled “Vendor Agreements: Understanding the Latest Privacy and Data Security Requirements” on November 14, 2018.
Ms. Krasnow and her co-presenter, Violet Sullivan of ePlace Solutions, described key privacy and data security requirements in vendor agreements, traps for the unwary, and resources and tools that companies can use to manage vendor agreements.
The webinar covered the latest privacy and cyber-related vendor agreement issues, such as:
- incident/breach notification,
- new laws (GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act),
- important definitions and
- cyber liability insurance provisions.
