Stacey Allen is a Counsel in the firm’s Technology Transactions Practice Group. Her practice focuses on assisting clients with complex commercial agreements and other related transactional matters. She represents both emerging and established companies in a variety of industries, including technology, financial services, and energy.

Stacey advises clients with respect to the structuring and negotiation of agreements relating to intellectual property and software licensing, professional services, reseller and referral relationships, internet-based and other technology offerings, and related commercial matters.  Stacey’s broad experience allows her to work closely with and assist clients in navigating both their complex and day-to-day legal needs.

In addition, Stacey has significant experience representing clients in a wide range of complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters, including in federal, administrative, and bankruptcy appeals.

Stacey received Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration degrees from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and the Marriott School of Management, respectively, both at Brigham Young University.  Stacey also received her bachelor’s degree in Management from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, where she majored in financial services.

Stacey began her legal career at Dorsey & Whitney in its Salt Lake City office, where she worked in Dorsey’s energy and natural resources, bankruptcy, and corporate practice groups. Prior to beginning her legal career, Stacey worked in the accounting department of a leading oil and gas exploration and development company in her hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
