Peter is Counsel in the firm’s Technology Transaction and Privacy Practice Groups. In the technology transaction area, his practice focuses on assisting clients with commercial agreements relating to software and patent licensing, cloud computing and other internet services, and website terms of service, among other complex commercial transactions. In the data privacy and cybersecurity area, Peter’s practice includes counseling clients on the collection, use, sharing, and protection of data in compliance with data privacy laws, including CCPA and GDPR.

Peter is also a registered patent attorney and advises clients on a variety of intellectual property related matters, including strategic planning, patent portfolio development and management, due diligence assessments, legal opinions, enforcement and mitigation, and licensing. Peter has technical expertise in a variety of software and hardware areas including front and back-end software systems; machine learning; enterprise system architecture; telecommunications; embedded systems; computer vision; user and enterprise storage systems; consumer electronics; semiconductors; semiconductor manufacturing; and solar technologies.

Peter received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and a Juris Doctorate from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. After law school, Peter was an associate at the Bay Area office of a large international law firm and later a Bay Area IP boutique.
