VLP Privacy Partner Michael Whitener was a guest on a Thomson Reuters Legal Current podcast about the Supreme Court case United States v. Microsoft Corporation.

The tech giant is challenging a U.S. search warrant involving data stored in servers located in Ireland. The legal publication noted that this case poses major questions over data access in the Internet age and hinges on the Stored Communications Act, which was passed in 1986, long before the explosion of emails and the Internet.
