Allison Hubbard Colgin

Allison Hubbard Colgin is a partner in VLP’s Employment law practice. She brings extensive experience advising employers of all sizes on a broad spectrum of employment matters, including issues related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave of absence, accommodation requests, employee terminations, and the development of employee handbooks and personnel policies. She has a record of success in providing timely, creative, and practical legal and business solutions to complex employment issues. 

Allison has also developed comprehensive employment law training programs for employers and managers, covering topics such as Preventing Workplace Harassment, Managing within the Law, and ADA Compliance. 

Allison earned her law degree from UCLA and began her career in the Labor and Employment Group at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco. She later moved to Silicon Valley and joined Fenwick & West’s Employment Law Practice. She subsequently became Intuit Inc.’s first in-house employment attorney, developing the employment law function for the company.

After relocating to Wyoming, Allison became a partner at a Jackson Hole law firm. She later accepted a secondment as Senior Employment Counsel at Elastic, Inc., where she provided legal counsel on U.S. and international employment law matters. Following her time at Elastic, she returned to private practice and continues to represent employers in all aspects of employment law.

In 2022, Allison completed mediation certification training through the San Francisco Bar Association and is available to mediate a variety of legal disputes, including workplace conflicts.
