Sherrie is a Counsel in the firm’s corporate group. Sherrie specializes in the representation of emerging growth companies, venture capital funds and angel investors in the technology and life sciences industries.

Sherrie’s practice encompasses general corporate counseling, venture and growth financings, fund portfolio investments and M&A exits.    

Her representation of companies spans the entire corporate life cycle, including pre-incorporation business planning, general corporate counseling to achieve business objectives, equity and debt financings, employment matters, and other day-to-day business matters relevant to rapidly growing companies.

Sherrie also represents some of the nation’s leading venture capital and angel investors in their investments, including SAFEs, convertible bridge loans, early-stage seed and preferred stock equity investments, M&A exits and other liquidity events. She has advised on company and investor-side transactions valued at billions of dollars.

Prior to joining VLP, Sherrie practiced venture capital, mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and corporate governance in the Silicon Valley offices of Gunderson Dettmer and Goodwin Procter.

Sherrie received her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law where she was an editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. While in law school, she worked in business development for a venture-backed software start-up.
