Kurt T. Mulville is a Partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. His practice is devoted to intellectual property, with a principal focus on developing and exploiting patent portfolios for start-up companies in highly competitive environments, such as biomedical devices, chemical formulation technologies, proteomics/genomics, therapeutic antibody and high throughput antibody screening technologies, and biotechnology generally. He is also retained to perform intellectual property due diligence analyses for venture capital, private equity, and large institutional investments, debt instruments and M&A. Kurt also has a unique practice forming and managing corporate structures using IP ownership and licensing for tax and operational advantages.
Prior to joining VLP, Kurt practiced at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and Lyon & Lyon.
