VLP Partner Melissa Krasnow was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article “Hospital Ransomware Attacks Spotlight Need for Security Steps.”
The article discusses the CISA, FBI and HHS joint cybersecurity advisory issued regarding recent ransomware attacks on and threats to hospitals and health care providers in the United States.
With respect to best practices, Ms. Krasnow said: “Health care providers should go through ‘tabletop exercises’ and work out hypotheticals in the event of a ransomware attack….That can help companies better address attacks when a crisis erupts.”
