VLP Partner Melissa Krasnow was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article “Canada Privacy Watchdog Seeks Input on Breach Reporting Guidance.”
The article reported that Canada’s privacy authority is seeking public comment on draft guidance aimed at helping companies comply with a new data breach reporting mandate that takes effect Nov. 1, noting that stakeholders have until Oct. 2 to provide feedback on the guidance and a breach reporting form from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Ms. Krasnow told Bloomberg Law, “This draft guidance provides information in addition to the law and regulations that will be helpful to companies in devising their incident response plans and procedures.”
