This article provides a brief overview of other California privacy and data security laws, including amendments, that became effective on January 1, 2020, and relate to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended, which also became effective on January 1, 2020: the amendment to the California data security procedures law and the California breach notification law, and the California data broker law.
