Michelle Kniffin is a Counsel in the firm’s corporate group. Michelle specializes in mergers & acquisitions and corporate governance.

Michelle has significant experience representing both buyers and sellers in domestic and international mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, restructuring transactions, and spin-out transactions. In addition to her transactional experience, Michelle routinely advises her clients on a broad range of day-to-day corporate matters. Michelle’s practice spans across a broad range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, food and beverage, and manufacturing.

Michelle received her law degree from the UCLA School of Law, where she served as a Research Assistant to Dean Emerita and Distinguished Professor Rachel Moran and a Graduate Assistant Teacher. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science in Math Education from Saint John’s University. Prior to her legal career, Michelle taught high school math through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. Before joining VLP, Michelle was an attorney at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in the corporate and business transactions practice group.
