Jeff Bowman is a Partner at VLP and focuses his practice on the representation of emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs and investors primarily in the areas of corporate, securities and M&A. Jeff also counsels his clients in the areas of technology and commercial transactions, intellectual property and employment and equity compensation matters.
Jeff’s representation of companies spans the entire corporate life-cycle, from formation to exit, including pre-incorporation business advice, general corporate counseling to achieve business objectives and solve business problems, financings, technology transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other day-to-day business matters relevant to rapidly growing companies. Jeff works with companies of all sizes ranging from a single founder to companies valued in excess of $1 billion in a broad range of industries including SaaS, biotechnology, life sciences, digital health, edtech, e-commerce, food & beverage, consumer products, consulting, fintech and financial services. Jeff also represents venture capital firms and angel investors investing in companies throughout the nation.
Jeff began his legal career with the law firm of Cooley LLP, one of the nation’s premier business law firms for emerging growth companies. Prior to law school, Jeff worked as an intern at the International Trade Centre WTO/ UNCTAD in Geneva, Switzerland in its Office of Arab States, Europe and CIS Countries, where he assisted with execution of export development projects in Central Asian countries. While in college, Jeff obtained a minor in African Studies and participated in a study abroad in Senegal, West Africa.
