Jason Cimmiyotti is an attorney in our Commercial Lending, Structured Finance & Venture Debt practice. Jason represents financial institutions and corporate clients in a wide variety of financial transactions.
His practice involves a broad range of credit facilities, including secured and unsecured, syndicated and bilateral, senior and subordinated, revolving, term, mezzanine, venture, bridge and asset-backed facilities. Jason represents public and private borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions and other corporate clients in connection with leveraged acquisitions, project financing, bankruptcy matters, securities offerings, cross-border investments and other financial matters. He works across a number of industries, including energy, finance, health care, life sciences, manufacturing, real estate and technology.
Prior to joining VLP, Jason was an attorney in the Financial Transactions Group at Morrison & Foerster LLP in San Francisco, and prior to that, was a Banking and Finance lawyer at Jones Day in New York. During his prior law firm experience, Jason performed pro-bono work to assist small businesses obtain financing.
Jason received his law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his bachelor’s degrees in economics and mechanical engineering from the University of California at Santa Cruz and University of California at Berkeley, respectively. In law school, Jason co-led a class and team on a research trip through Cambodia, while also travelling to Thailand, Hong Kong and throughout Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco (post-bar). Prior to law school, Jason worked as a product engineer in the laboratory consumables and medical device industries. Currently, he resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his family.
