VLP Partner Brian Davis Recognized as Best Lawyers 2017 Trademark Law Lawyer of the Year

Palo Alto, CA (August 16, 2016) – VLP Law Group LLP is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Partner Brian Davis has been selected by his peers as 2017 Trademark Law “Lawyer of the Year” for Charlotte, North Carolina. This is the second time Mr. Davis has received this recognition, sponsored by Best Lawyers in America. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and community is honored with a “Lawyer of the Year” award.
In addition, Mr. Davis has been selected for inclusion in the 23rd Edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Copyright Law and Trademark Law. He has been included in Best Lawyers every year since 2009.
Mr. Davis is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Co-Chair of VLP’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He focuses his practice on client counseling relating to trademarks, including worldwide trademark clearance and the prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark applications. He also has experience with copyright and other intellectual property issues, such as domain name disputes, licensing programs and other intellectual property-related agreements.
Mr. Davis provides strategic trademark, copyright and domain name advice for a wide variety of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small start-up entities. During his career, he has represented the owners of some of the world’s best known brands in the footwear, banking, consumer electronics, home improvement, retail clothing and other industries.
