WILLIAM YEUNG is a Wall Street trained attorney with many years of domestic and international experience counseling public and private companies.
William’s practice focuses on the representation of emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs and investors on corporate and financial transactions, with a focus on U.S. securities law matters. He works with clients on preferred stock, common stock, convertible debt, bridge, warrants and other types of financings and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, William has extensive experience as underwriter’s and company counsel in public and private equity and debt offerings, where he has helped raise in excess of $10 billion from the domestic and international capital markets. William also counsels his clients on the SEC's regulation of public companies and regularly counsels companies in 1933 and 1934 Act filings pertaining to a variety of complex transactions and disclosure issues.
Prior to joining VLP, William was Director and Associate General Counsel of Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc., where he was primarily responsible for the company’s public reporting and other regulatory matters. Prior to joining Thomas Weisel, William was General Counsel of Socialutions, Inc., where he managed all legal matters facing the company and was a member of the senior management team. Prior to joining Socialutions, William spent 6 years in New York at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton and 2 years at Morrison & Foerster LLP.
