CHARLIE EUK OH is a Partner of VLP. Charlie is a patent attorney with a practice focused on counseling clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, including procuring patents worldwide and developing patent portfolios that cover developmental and commercial products. He also has extensive experience providing opinions on patentability, freedom to operate, non-infringement, and validity; and conducting patent due diligence analysis for corporate transactions.
Charlie provides strategic advice for a wide variety of clients, from small biotech start-ups to major pharmaceutical companies. He has worked in technology areas that include antibodies, industrial enzymes, small molecule pharmaceuticals, drug formulations, microarray technology, nucleic acid sequencing, and personalized medicine.
Prior to joining VLP, Charlie was a patent attorney, first at the law firm of Flehr Hohbach Test Albritton and Herbert LLP, one of the oldest intellectual property law firms in San Francisco, which merged with Dorsey & Whitney in 2003, and then at Dechert LLP in their San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices.
